Immigrants and Street Crime
The phrase 'mobile phone' has been given new meaning by Det. Supt. Eddie Thomson, of an outfit called the 'National Mobile Phone Crime Unit' who admitted yesterday that,
"There's not a continent in this world that we have not found a mobile phone that has been stolen in London."
This was after a raid targeted at organised crime which resulted in multiple arrests -
"Led by Islington police, officers from the Metropolitan Police, Customs and Excise and Trading Standards took part in the raids at about 1530 GMT.
They arrested 14 people, 10 on suspicion of handling stolen goods, one for immigration offences, one for possession of drugs and two were wanted by the police. "
Immigration may be good for helping to curb wage inflation, for sure; but it's not proving so good at keeping down your no-claims bonus.
